Hello All,

Thanks for all of your great support during this past fall!

I'll be running 4 concerts this spring season all of which should be
incredible! Two old favorites and two new performers - both of whom I've
been trying to book for a couple of years!!

Introducing the Spring 2007 line-up...

Sunday, January 7th: 7:30PM Still on the Hill $14
adv/$16 door
This is my first time presenting this incredible duo from Arkansas, but
I've been trying to set up a date with them for a couple of
years. Although they are both singer-songwriters, they are anything but
your typical singer-songwriters! They come from the bluegrass and folk
traditions, but write songs for today. Their repertoire is primarily their
own original, roots-based compositions interspersed with new arrangements
of traditional songs. Kelly plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and
tenor ukulele and Donna plays fiddle, cello, mandolin, washboard, and
mbira. They have won numerous awards and have performed at many major US
folk festivals including Kerrville and the Philadelphia Folk Festival. I
stumbled into one of their Folk Alliance showcases by chance several years
ago (I was going to see the next act), and have been hooked ever
since. This will be a real treat, promising to be a great evening.

Sunday, February 18th: 7:30PM Jim Malcolm $18 adv
(advance payment required unless seats are still available a few days
before the concert)
Scottish singer & songwriter Jim Malcolm probably needs no introduction at
my place. Former lead singer and guitarist of the Scottish folk band, Old
Blind Dogs, Jim is now pursing a full time solo career with a mix of his
own songs and traditional songs. Jim was voted Songwriter of the Year in
the 2004 Scots Music Awards. Jim routinely sells out 2 concerts at my
place, but due to the logistics of this trip, he is only available for one
concert. Hence, the requirement to pay in advance for what is sure to be a
very popular concert.

Sunday, April 29th: 7:30PM Jez Lowe $16 adv
or door
Long before I started presenting house concerts, North East English
singer-songwriter Jez Lowe was one of my favorite performers, and it's been
brilliant to see him turn into one of your favorite performers as
well. Since it's not certain where Jez will be performing the day before,
we don't yet know whether this will be a single evening concert or if an
afternoon concert will also be added. If an afternoon one is added, it
will be with completely different songs. Reservations and prepayments will
only be taken for the evening concert at this point.

Sunday, June 3rd: 7:30PM Maria Dunn $14
adv/$16 door
This is my first time presenting this remarkable singer-songwriter from
Edmonton. I first saw Maria perform in Glasgow a few years ago, and then
subsequently at the Edmonton and Vancouver Folk Music Festivals. I also
ran into her at the Folk Alliance Conference in Nashville a few years ago,
and had a chance to chat with her about coming to the area. Well, it's
finally come together! Maria is a fabulous young singer-songwriter who
will just blow you away! She's Scottish-born, but has lived in Canada for
most of her life. She has 3 CDs to her credit, one of which was nominated
for a JUNO award in the Roots/Traditional Solo Category. Her songwriting
frequently reflects both historical and contemporary characters that come
to life in her songs. Maria accompanies herself on accordion and guitar.

Pre-payment for these concerts gives you the privilege of choosing your
seat(s) at the time of payment. Advance payment can be sent via paypal by
going to http://www.sgreenberg.org/concerts.htm and following the link to
the payment page. Alternatively, you can e-mail me for details on sending
a check. All money goes to the performer(s).

Please confirm by e-mail, phone, or fax that I still have seats available
before sending a check or making a paypal payment. Reservations are
required for all concerts. For reservations, information, &
directions:e-mail reservations at sgreenberg.org or call 510-644-2135.

I hope to see you at my house!!! Thanks for your continued support and
for helping to make this so successful!

Sally
