[dar-list] Dar-list hasbeens/pioneers

Hey,

I joined the list in the early '90s, having seen Dar
play at E-town way back when. I remember saving
front-row seats at an Etown with Nanci Griffith for
Mark Ferguson, former dar-list listowner, back in the
'90s when she was playing the Rocky Mountain Folks
Fest on Saturday night and then at Etown in Boulder on
Sunday night. I used to live eight blocks from where
Etown is recorded, so I attended pretty much every
recording. Mark was up in Lyons for the Folks Fest
that Sunday; I'd decided to stay home in Boulder
preparing for classes I'd be teaching that week.

Now, I'm in England and I surprised Dar back around
2001 the first time I saw her play over here. She was
used to me as Ellen the teacher from Colorado, and now
I'm Ellen the teacher in England. :)
