Hi Dar-listers,

De-lurking, per Howie's request...from the northcoast (aka Cleveland).

Life here is good. It was a *gorgeous* spring morning this AM and it put me in a fantastic mood for work.

Speaking of, for those of you who knew, I was unemployed for about 7 months (though, it turned out to be one of those "blessing in disguise" things as my old job was an evil soul sucking enterprise that hardened my heart and soul on a daily basis), and about 6 weeks ago, began a new job working for a non-profit community center as their Development Assistant and Office Manager.

It's been a fantastic experience and even on my worst days here, it's still a billion times better than my old job. So, that's been making spring really exciting and lovely.

Musically, I haven't seen much folk lately (Girlyman last month, Lucy Kaplansky in February), but am looking forward to the touring season, and of course FRFF! I've been listening to a lot of alternative rock actually, and am patiently waiting for Dar to release a new album. Music that's kept me entertained over the last few months includes The Hives, The Raconteours, R.E.M.'s latest effort, and Kate Nash. I'm sure that once I attend Falcon Ridge, I'll be folk-ily refreshed and raring to go.

Anyway, I should be working, so off I go, but I hope to hear from some of you other lurkers out there. Let's keep the Dar-list going!

Cheers,

Jen in Ohio
