Dar was the closing event for a weekend on climate change at a small
Liberal arts college in north central Pa last night. She was joined by
Andrew Revkin who besides being a writer for the New York Times plays
a mean mandolin, banjo and guitar. Andrew opened the set and then Dar
hit the stage with some wonderful stories about global warming and new
stories about her sons educational progress.

Dar was dressed in green like the environment and talked about been a
geek for all things green.
I hadnt seen her since December and Dar was in great voice and was a
riot. At one point, she started talking about her books which were
being sold at the show by a local bookstore ( she assumed that it was
an independent store). Someone yelled the college book store was
Barnes and Noble and she then quickly referred to Barnes and Noble as
Dehlia Barnes and Ellie Noble, the couple she modeled Amber and Jane
after. She made a few references to this powerful lesbian couple who
took their independent bookstore Nationwide. .....
As for the Monday night benefit, it is not happening. There were some
complicating factors that prevent the night from getting off the
crowd.......
it was a great weekend for Ursinus College.
