[dar-list] Maybe not the Next Dar- But Reminds Me Of Dar

Esther and I were in the Atlanta area this past weekend and took in a show
at Eddie's Attic a venue that showcases regional and national acts from many
genres. We went to see a show that included two artists that nobody in our
group of 4 people had ever heard or even heard of- Ken Will Morton (who did
not remind me of Dar in any way) and Jennifer Daniels who reminded both
Esther and I of Dar in many ways.

Jennifer has a very humorous way of speaking between songs- as does Dar- and
when she sings she can even sound a bit like Dar at times. It's not an
imitation- I don't even know if she's aware of Dar. It's the inflections and
intonation that evokes Dar for me. The biggest difference between them is
that Jennifer is a bit harder edged than Dar- but then in the middle of the
song her face breaks into a big smile and the in-between songs Jenifer comes
through. She also stomps the stage very hard at random intervals during her
tunes. She plays 6 and 12 string guitars and is accompanied by her husband
on various electric guitars- and occasionally acoustic guitar- and on
mandolin. He's a great player in his own right- no vocals , though.

Here's her website if you'd like to hear her music-

I could be wrong but I think many Dar fans would enjoy her music.
