I'm going to the Calvin show. Leaving from WI Thursday a.m. so I have time to
try the non-toll roads. Sitting far right (stage left) in the third row.
(I'm old but I can still make a Dar concert in Northampton!)

Subject: [dar-list] Dar & the Nields
Greetings Dar-list!
It's college decision time, which means that my daughter Kate and I will be
down in Norton, MA (Wheaton College) the night that Dar plays South
Burlington, VT - practically in our own backyard. So what's a mother and
daughter to do? Why, see Dar (AND THE NIELDS) in NoHo a few days earlier.
Kate & I will be in Northampton the 10th & 11th to visit Smith College
anyway so we figured we'd take a Saturday road trip to Worcester for a last
look-see at her 3rd contending college (Clark University) and then head back
to see Dar at the Calvin. (Input on all 3 schools is appreciated - off list
is probably best.)
It will be neat to see the Calvin Theater too - 18 months ago we first
attended a show (Girlyman, We're About 9) at the Iron Horse when we did our
first round of college visits - the 5 school consortium of
Amherst/Hadley/Northampton. Now all the envelopes have been opened and
we're back to choose the lucky school that will get Kate for the next four
years. At least Kate will be able to appreciate the music venues available
around Smith!
So, anybody else from the Dar-list going to be at the Calvin show? How
crazy will NoHo be for getting dinner beforehand?
Happy Spring - we had snow today here in VT but sunny days are ahead!
Take care,
Meg in VT
