Sharon,
It was nice to speak with you again. I enjoyed Lucy's set very much- I spoke
with her after her set as well. She is definitely the child of her parents.
She has a great voice musically- and she seems to meld the sensibilities of
both of her parents on stage. I'm listening to her ep right now and she
sounds so much like a Roche- no surprise there- on it.
Dar's set was very enjoyable. I enjoyed her little stories almost as much as
the music. The two songs she did with Lucy were an extra added treat as
well.
I wonder what percentage of shows at the Colonial Theatre have some mention
of the Blob in them. I was at the Sellersville Theatre the next night for a
Poco show and the colonial came up because rusty young- the leader of the
band- thought they were playing at the theatre in PA that was famous for the
Blob movie. We helped him remember which one it actually was.
I would have loved to have gotten to the Westbury show but two things stood
in my way- the Poco show the same night and the fact that Esther already had
tickets for Judy Collins, Nanci Griffith and Sonya Kitchel in Glenside on
Saturday. She enjoyed that show but would have liked it even more if Dar was
at it instead of Sonya.
I had actually forgotten about Dar playing with Judy & Nanci- even to the
point of saying a fellow Poco fan was wrong that Dar was playing with them.
I have to apologize to him now.
Dennis
