[dar-list] New SOTW: Your Fire Your Soul

Hey all of you,

It's great what you darlings wrote about "The One Who Knows". Keep up the good
work for the next SOTW! And Janet, I hope you and your daughter will have a
wonderful moment!

This has been a weird week for me and I was thinking about the SOTW. I
couldn't come up with a song that I was willing to express some things about,
at least not at this moment. I thought of some Honesty Room songs, but then
"Your Fire Your Soul" was playing in the background and I knew that song
should become the new SOTW. I usually listen to this song after I've listened
to TOWK...Like I wrote, some people feel that the things they've learnt from
their parents don't work for them, it doesn't fit. I think this is what YFYS
is about, "Show that family that you care. But could you wear something that
celebrates, Everything you love, and maybe what your family hates, Cause that
might be what it takes.". It says to be yourself around them, show them what
is important to you, even if it is something they will hate...

But what is the point of going over there if they will not understand YOU,
that you cannot express the things that are important to you, "And they'll say
they want your story, but they get confused, By all those words you use.".
What do you do when they don't understand the things you're saying, when they
will just stare at you for the things you've said? It will make you stare at
the ground and it becomes a regular thing... "I think your DARKEST DAY should
have some LIGHT this year, I think YOU SHOULD STAY RIGHT HERE. It's your fire,
it's your soul, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GO."...

The way of raising a child for a family in YFYS is not like a family in TOWK.
"I will watch you struggle long before the answers come", while the other type
of parents seem to have all the answers for you, but that doesn't mean they
didn't gave you their answers out of love...
