Just read this today on Mother's Day, and thought it was good to think about.
(This is Mother's Day in the U.S.)
The Origins of Mother's DayHappy Mother's Day! Here are the origins of
Mother's Day:
In 1872, Julia Ward Howe, author of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic",
proposed an annual Mother's Day for Peace. Committed to abolishing war, Howe
wrote: "Our husbands shall not come to us reeking with carnage... Our sons
shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach
them
of charity, mercy and patience. We women of one country will be too tender of
those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs".
So peace to all of us who are mothers and all of us who have mothers (all of
us.) May we see the end of war in our lifetimes.

P.S. Anyone know about seating at the Union County Arts Center in NJ? It's GA,
but I am going with my mom (at least I think she's going) who is almost 70 and
would need a seat.
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and
those who matter don't mind."
