[dar-list] Falcon Ridge!

Greetings All!

I'm happy to say that I'll be attending FRFF for year 3 with two of my favorite folks in tow - again - my daughter Kate and her friend Devin (getting in for their last year at the 16 and under rate!).  We plan to camp with CampDarCamp again and hope to be a bit more social than last year!

We are the role models for all of you folks who may be wondering if you want to camp with the Dar-list folks.  I've been a member of the list for years (since I got my razor&tie version of Honesty Room) but wasn't an active participant.  We came to FRFF in '05 and quickly met Rebecca who was so nice and helped us find CampDar.  In short order, we met famous folks like the Sharons (upper and lower case), Chris, Susan Moss, Oh Canada Gail, Jen and Sally.  Heck, we even met Graham & Becky and their lovely daughter (who's probably looking at colleges now!).  I'm not a night owl so dudded out on all those lovely song circles (but they're fun to listen to from your tent too!) and that's OK.  We were back in '06 at the new location (and eventual mud) and were again welcomed by the Dar-core.

It's wonderful to attend a big festival like Falcon Ridge and have a small community to come "home" to after days of wonderful music amidst the masses.  I encourage folks to join up!

BTW, we'll have one tent (11x11) plus one car - we should be arriving Thursday early afternoon.  We're tacking some college visits on to the back side of our adventure (maybe front side too) and I'm not sure which direction we're going but I think we'll retreat to a motel somewhere Sunday night so we don't scare the admissions staff too much on Monday morning!
