[dar-list] Cancelation of Susan Forbes Hansen's show

There's been much discussion in the folk community
hereabouts of the cancelation of Susan Forbes Hansen's
program, Valley Folk, by WFCR-FM in Amherst,
Massachusetts.

An announcer on WWUH-FM in Hartford, I think Dwight
Thurston, mentioned the other day that another WFCR
program was saved when listeners wrote letters to the
president of the University of Massachusetts, which I
gather has ultimate control of the "four college"
station. A little noodling around on the vast complex
of UMass Web sites produced this info:

Also, if budget cuts were the reason Valley Folk was
canceled, maybe those who can should consider donating
