Last night during the Bimbos 365 Club concert, Dar Williams
emotionally reminisced about Molly Ivins, and dedicated After All to
her. She certainly leaves an unfillable gap in the political
commentary, and I'll miss her unique delivery. It's interesting that
her passing is not mentioned anywhere in the Comcast home page that
comes with my e-mail. That's cool, Sally, that you were able to meet
her & thank her personally.

Regarding the Dar show, what a classic place Bimbo's is. Maybe the
correct term is "classy joint". I mean, how many places do you get to
set up the merch next to a bigger than life marble statue of a naked
woman obviously enjoying her ride on a giant goldfish? Hmmm? It
was great to meet up with Susan K for dinner & you Mid CA's who were
at the Shawn show there recently will know how great the view from the
elevated table was - we were two tables closer to the stage this time.
Dar put on two great shows, this week - although last night she was
fighting a pesky cough. The crowd enthusiastically waved their cell
phones and sang IOWA with her/for her.

And the blessings were like poets that we never find time to know,
But when time stopped I found the place where the poets go.
And they said, "Here have some coffee, it's straight, black and very old,"
And they gave me sticks and rocks and stars and all that I could hold,
sage advisor, does weary mean wiser
