[dar-list] music in California

Dear Dar friends,
I just have to keep raving to someone/anyone who might like this music....and
you all might fit. I went down to Los Angeles last weekend for one of my
favorites Brett Dennen, and he opened for Australian trio The John Butler
Trio. They were incredible....and I wasn't expecting it since I had bought the
only CD I could find here in the states at my local shop: JBT "Three."  But
their current work--Grand National and especially their newest live recording
at the Twist and Shout will certainly impress. Live: they absolutely blew me
away. The energy was as high as we could go. I think I love them as much as
Dar when I first discovered her. Here is a link to John solo on guitar....and
please look at all the other You Tube videos if you like. He is quite an
activist as well and father and kind human being. If you live in Washington or
Oregon they're up there this weekend. Integrity and spirit and musicality.
