To truly understand what a special night it was, you have to know that
Zankel Hall is a theater in basement of Carnegie Hall. It was a cinema
that has been remodeled to be acoustically perfect. The stage is
bordered by paneling and many times and shades of wood. The seating is
auditorium where no one blocks another person. THere are two balcony
spaces that border the place. Rita Houston introduced Dar and comment
on how Dar was played on WFUV as a treasure and since 1993 Dar has
been a regular in rotation. Rita spoke to the " classics" that Dar has
written over the years and it was good to hear Rita say that Dar
Williams songs are classics, i have thought that for a long time...

But now I'm grown and I speak like a woman and I see with a woman's eyes
And an open door is to me now like the saddest of goodbyes
It's too late for turning back, I pray for the heart and the nerve
And I rely upon the moon, I rely upon the moon
I rely upon the moon and Saint Christopherver mary chapin carpenter
sage advisor, does weary mean wiser
