dar chat still happens!  it's usually just me, howie, and peter but
we are still there just about every friday night!  just point your
IRC client to irc.xworld.org and join the #darwilliams channel.
we tend to start between 9 and 10 EST on friday nights.  please
come in and join is!

i confess that now that i have a live journal i spaced on posting my 
FR review to the list.  anyone interested in reading what i put there,

BUT if you dont want to click over:  there was rain and sun, music and 
friends.  all the best that falcon ridge has to give.  dar was in fine
form.  i was thrilled to hear alleluia at the workshop stage - cant
recall the last time i heard that one.  her main stage set was too
short, of course, but seeing stephen witness the light display was
sweet.  

my favorite musical moment of the whole fest was acually during
gandalf murphy's set when he had dar and john gorka singing peace
train with the band, and the doves of peace on stilts came out.
they were joined by a hawk on stilts and it was just one of those
amazing moments of elements coming together.

i bought a lot of CDs this year - was blown away by vienna teng and
lindsey mac at the emerging artist showcase (LOADS of good people
there this year).  glengarry bhoys rocked the house.  santa dave looked
a bit more like santa this year.  mike of eddie from ohio got 
jennifer, the interpreter for the EFO set, to sign both carp and
wedgie (different times in the set, not in relation to each other).
i was glad to come home to civilised bathrooms but i do miss the
energy of FRFF.  until next year...

I do miss that old Dar-list, though.  I miss Dar-chat and all that other
