Had an appointment with my colleague but he had a baby instead so I've got a
little time to write this...

Saw Dar Friday night at Hoogeveen. I didn't remember it all so I will start
after that (sorry). I did get a very complete set list from someone but I
don't want to do the copy/paste thing.

What I do want to share about the gig is this...
Had a laugh at the way the theatre mentioned the gig on their site...

This is the actual text:
Het is leuk, het is spannend en het is top secret. U weet niet wat u ziet!
Ga de verleiding aan en ontmoet nieuw talent. Voor maar 8,00 biedt De
Tamboer u de mogelijkheid om een blind date aan te gaan.

Translated:
Its fun, it's exiting and it is top secret. U won't know what you will see!
Take on the temptation and meet new talent. For just 8.00 ($10 USD) the
Tamboer gives you the opportunity to have a blind date.

Really think some of them didn't know what to expect.

Then the weekend with Dar and more...

Saturday we (me and my wife Nienke) went to Utrecht. Wanted to leave early
but it was 11:30 already when we finally did. Came in a very heavy rain,
almost didn't see a thing (It rains a lot in the Netherlands) but that
didn't last for long so still arrived at 13:30. We did some shopping and had
a nice dinner in a restaurant at one of the canals (it also has some canals
like Amsterdam). After that a musical which was quite boring...

Next day we walked a little at a small park which was next to our hotel.
After that we went to the city center and had some lunch. Then it was time
to see Dar for the 3rd time in less than a week!
With the other two shows not filled up we didn't bother to get there early,
but the room was filled quite well already when we arrived and all the seats
in the front were taken. We did have seats on the right which were pretty
good to.
The room was filled up almost completely (good thing) and even a lot on the
balcony for as far I could see.

First Jeffrey Foucault came on and then Caroline Herring. Caroline called
Dar on stage to do "Lay my burden down" with her. Jeffrey and Caroline did a
song together from Kate Wolf which really is very good and was the same as
they did in Tiel.
Have to say some songs of them are breathtaking. I bought one of Caroline
CD's in Paradiso January but never listened to it much. But now as the songs
get more familiar...

After the break Dar came on and she was quite good. Ronnie de Champs already
gave us the set list...Thanks...
This was the best show of this tour so far. She did more intros and the set
list was longer. For the encore she asked for requests and I shouted the
Ocean. She played it but I didn't think she heard me requesting. I did thank
her for it later on anyway...
All three Dar, Jeffrey and Caroline did a song together "Will the circle be
unbroken". They also did that in Hoogeveen and I hoped they play it again.
Keith also was good on both shows. In Tiel I hardly heard him but here he
added things. Watercolors Dar said.

After the concert we waited for Dar with many others. She wanted to get to
the table where CD's were being sold but she didn't end up there. There were
a lot of cameras and a bunch of them wanted a picture with Dar.
Made a picture of 2 guys and Dar, which they asked me to do so in English.
Dar told me they were from her home town! She asked if I was at the show the
other night and of course that was the case. Was getting a little nervous
and when that happens my English gets bad! So I didn't tell half of the
things I wanted to but hey, I did speak to her so I'm happy. I told her that
I really liked her music (surprising huh) and that I will come to 2 more
shows, Monday on my own and Friday with Nienke. Then she asked our names...

Well more next time...Looking forward to tonight. That's a Dar only gig...
